color blocking

This post comes to you during a break I am taking from writing a research proposal. Yuck.
While working. Double yuck!

I have just been distracted by news of a 30% off seat sale for flights booked before tonight and I still need tickets for my Katy Perry trip in July, so now I'm all frazzled about that, so I figured now would be a good time to post something!
(I'm also seeing NoFX in June and also possibly Kiss and also possibly Taylor Swift. I think I have a bit of split-music-personality disorder!)

Anyway..
Nails!

This design was sort of inspired by a "trend" I saw for summer in some fashion magazines. Color blocking!
Big blocks of bright solid colors.

I kinda hated these when I did them, but looking back at the pictures, they were cool! I should do it again!

Here is what I used:

Dim Sum Plum, Jade Is The New Black, Ski Teal We Drop. I love these colors together. And the formula on all of them is dreamy.

I freehanded the lines, no tape here. Although I should have but I didn't have the patience.
The stars on my ring finger are from a wheel I got on ebay that was a part of a set of 6 wheels of assorted things. I think people call those things "dazzlings" but I'm just going to call them... um.. stars. They're adorable but pretty thick, as you can see. It took 2 coats of SV to cover them enough so that they didn't hitch stuff.

My exams aren't over until the 16th, and I have an actual TONNE of reading to do before then.
So I make no promises as to the frequency of my posts until then.
Back to homework :(
