Cheeky Week - Day 1: Dolla Dolla Bills, Y'all

Press Sample
Hey guys, and welcome to Cheeky Week!

The lovely people at Cheeky Beauty offered to send me two of their sets of plates for review and of course I accepted. How could I ever turn that down?! (However now I have more plates than my storage book can hold...)

I'm going to do a week of looks using only the Cheeky plates I was sent, and then of course there will be more in the future because there are so many images I want to use!

The first set I'll be showing images from is the Summer Collection. This set retails on their website or on Amazon for $24.99 and it has 26 plates. And actually, it is $5 off on Amazon right now!

The plates come in a cute little box (so they're easy to store if you don't have a method of storing your plates already) and there's also a cute card inside that is a "Nail Art License." Hehe!

And that card can also be used as a scraper which is good because I'm sure we all misplace that thing once or twice.

When I received these plates I was wearing First Timer by Essie and I decided to stamp right on top of it with a cute image of dollar signs from plate CH-55.

Please excuse the insane dryness of my cuticles in these two pictures - I started a new medication in the last few months that is making me extremely dry and apparently I forgot to moisturize my cuticles that day. Ha!

I love this design and I really wanna use it over black too with gold stamping! Add a gold glitter accent nail and it would be fierce... Yeah, definitely doing that.

I had absolutely no problems with any of the Cheeky images I have tried out so far and I think that they are a great brand of plates to add to your collection.
Not only do they sell the standard-sized plates in sets but they also offer jumbo plates! I don't own any of those sort of plates yet, however, I have my eye on a few...
Cheeky also carries other nail art tools and accessories like dotting tools and rhinestones, etc.

Check out all the Cheeky products on cheeky-beauty.com (with free worldwide shipping!) and be sure to keep up with them on Facebook!

  6. Adorable...great first image choice and I'm looking forward to your week of stamping (though if you wanted to show stamping looks for two weeks, that'd be great too [stamping is my current obsession :) ]). Question though: what polish did you use to stamp the dollar bills? It looks creamy and almost subtle which, to my knowledge, is not a usual stamping polish. Or am I just used to black, white or metallic choices with crisp edges (not that there's anything wrong with that :) ).

    1. thank you! and oh yes I forgot to say that! i stamped with Konad White - it doesn't look as bright because the green underneath kinda soaked into the white a little and made it more off-white. it wasn't intentional, but i'm glad you like it ;)

  8. I love this design. As son as I saw it, it reminded me of the Goonies film where Data keeps saying "fifty dollar bills, fifty dollar bills!" - sorry if that does not make sense - it's an awesome film!
