ultra random swatch spam

I thought this vacation series might be a good time to look back through swatches that I've never posted and see what is decent enough to post.

I've found twelve (yes, twelve!) totally random swatches that I feel are post-worthy! Some of them are even quite lovely.

I think part of the reason I like doing swatch spam and posting swatches it because it gives me a chance to write down anything special about the polish - like if it was a gift, or if it came from somewhere cool, etc! It's fun for me to be able to read back and see why each polish is special to me.
Let's get to it!

China Glaze - Drawn to You
This is one of those polishes that looks better in pictures than it does in person. The magnetic effect works well, but I'm just not a big fan of the actual color. 2 coats.

Icing - No Name Blue Magnetic
2 coats. This was the first magnetic polish I bought and still the only one I really like! The colors are awesome, the magnet effect really pulls out this purpley shimmer and the squiggle magnet it comes with is my favorite.

H&M - Bella's Choice
My dear pal Line in Denmark sent this beauty to me. A perfect turquoise creme! 2 coater. Definitely could be called "Rebecca's Choice" because I love it!

Cosmetic Arts - All The Trimmings
This is one weird polish. I picked this up at Winners, just because of how different looking it is. The blue shimmer you see in the photo is not very prominent in person, and it actually has a pink flash. It's thin, 3 coats, and still kinda sheer. Not really attractive... But it was just so weird, I had to have it.

Pure Ice - Ruffled Sheets
Ew, sorry for this yucky-colored photo. This is one of the newer matte/suede/velvet/whatever polishes from Pure Ice. The wonderful Lori picked this up for me! I've got 6 of 'em. They're nice. You almost can't tell this one is matte because it is so reflective!

Color Club - Feelin' Groovy
Super neon green! Three coats. Dries semi-matte. I think I bought this one in Toronto last year!

Essence - Hello Holo!
This is a Nail Art Special Effects Topper from Essence. Essentially just super blingy silver holo glitter in a clear base. Shown here over Sephora by OPI - Son of a Gun from the Betsey Johnson collection
This found its way to me from Caroline at Good Lack Nail!

Essie - Play Date
Hello, right hand! This is a lovely purple creme with a great formula. 2 coater.

Nabi Magnetic - 05 Purple
A nice purple magnetic! 2 coats. Very vibrant. I got this polish from the wonderful Laurie @ Dressed Up Digits!

China Glaze - Riveting
This was probably the most well-liked polish from the Hunger Games collection from China Glaze, but me, I hate it. Ha! I just do not like orange. Yuck. But if you do like orange then this is a must have, apparently.

BB Couture - Junk In The Trunk
I have no idea why I have never posted about this polish or the one to follow. I believe they are the first polishes that I bought online, after seeing such beautiful swatches on blogs. I remember I felt a little crazy for spending $10 plus shipping on polishes but I knew I had to have these.
And then I swatched them, didn't even wear them, and didn't love the photos, and never even posted them! Shame on me, seriously. I'm going to actually wear these polishes ASAP because they deserve it.
Junk In The Trunk is a beautiful shimmery blue, and as far as I can remember, the formula is great! Isn't it purdy? The next one is even better...

BB Couture - Man Bug
So pretty. Probably one of the prettiest polishes I own, actually. It's so me! Turquoise with glittery shimmer. I have no idea why I don't wear this all the time.
It's a bit sheer, needs three coats. And as you can see I applied it a little thick back in the day when I did this swatch... Haha. I will wear this again and take even more beautiful photos!

I'll be home tomorrow! :)

piCture pOlish - Gene Doll

Happy Monday! The start of another week and another Picture Polish for your viewing pleasure!
This time, a glitter...

piCture pOlish - Gene Doll (shown over Wisteria)
Hooray for fuchsia glitter! Small and large hexes in a clear base. Shown is two coats, it spreads nicely, you don't have to push it around.
These two polishes make a great girly combo!

Lately I haven't been wearing anything BUT glitter manis. I seriously can't get enough. So happy to add this one to my collection!

So cute, simple and fun. Love it!

piCture pOlish is available at picturepolish.com.au as well as with lots of other network members around the world. Check out the Network list for a full rundown of the places you can find PP!

Lynnderella - I Don't Mean Rhinestones

It's time for a Sparkly Sunday! Maybe I should make that a weekly thing... (Who am I kidding, almost every day here is sparkly...)

Lynnderella - I Don't Mean Rhinestones
This polish is just stunning. The color of the glitter is so awesome, and it is holographic too but you can't really see it in my photos. Believe you me, none of the photos of this polish floating around truly do it justice. It is so beautiful!
I don't stand behind Lynnderella and her practices but this polish was a gift from (again) the amazing Jini from MakeUpMom123, and I treasure it for its beauty!

I layered it over black to make the teal really pop! It is also gorgeous over dark blues and teals and other glitters... Anything!

I did recently pick up a glitter that is similar in color, which could satisfy a lemming for some of you. Sephora by OPI - I'm So Sari!
It has similarly colored teal glitter but it also has silver glitter so it is a bit different. But much easier to find...

My nails were like little blue-teal gems. So sparkly and eye-catching, just gorgeous!
Thanks again Jini for this amazing polish!

365 Days of Color - Crush On You

Hola! Happy weekend! Another indie glitter polish for your viewing pleasure today.
I know I've been posting a lot of indie swatches lately, it's because I just keep wearing fun glitters! I can't help it. I hope you guys don't mind!

Today I've got a polish from another brand I had yet to try, 365 Days of Color.

365 Days of Color - Crush On You
This sugary sweet polish was sent to me for Valentines Day by the lovely Jini aka MakeUpMom123.
It is a sheer pink shade with pink and red glitters, including circle glitters. Shown is three coats.

I LOVE THE CIRCLES. I don't know why. Circle glitter is just fun. Gimme all the circles.

If you don't like visible nail line, this is not the polish for you, but I like a nice sheer every now and then!
I'm into it. Thank you, Jini!

Hope you all have a lovely day. I wonder how many new polishes I have bought so far in Toronto? I'm planning to be good...

Hare - Rad Cloud

Hare polish was one of the very first indie polish brands, I believe. She's made some beauties, and I got my hands on one of them recently!

Hare - Rad Cloud
I love her little bunny labels. Shown is three coats of Rad Cloud, a light pink base with a super unique glitter combo. Green, purple, pink, orange, etc. So different and fun!
And I love the name. Rad is one of my favorite words. Hahaha.

Milky polishes with glitter are always my faves!
This is super glitter-packed and you don't need to fuss with it to get good coverage.

Yummy, don't you think? Pick this one up if you get a chance!

OPI - I Lily Love You

Hey guys! As this post goes live, I will be somewhere in the air over Canada, headed to Toronto for a week!
Never fear, I've got posts all lined up so it won't be lonely here on RLN.

I'm starting this group of scheduled posts with a real stunner!

OPI - I Lily Love You
Lkejhdfwedowkedokefejnf I love this soooooooo much. So much. Bunch of pictures to display my love.

I recently received this polish from my friend Anissa. It was a longtime lemming of mine! And I'm so happy to finally have it.
It is a sheer pink base that is packed with iridescent glitter and flakies. It's really dense, this is two very thin coats. I layered it over another new polish of mine:

Zoya - Charisma
Here we have a crazy bright fuchsia that dries to a semi-matte finish. Kinda sheer, this is 2 coats and you can see my nail line in the photo, but not as much in person. I think this was a fantastic base color for the flakies!

So happy to finally have this beauty in my collection. I don't know why I didn't buy it when it first came out. I'm dumb.

I wonder what goodies I will bring home from Toronto... You'll have to check back in a week and see!

Have a lovely day :)

guest post @ Kelsie's Nail Files!

Look at me guest postin' all over the place. (Okay, just two places.)

This time I helped out my friend Kelsie from Kelsie's Nail Files! A fellow Newfoundlander :)

Here's a sneak peek at the mani I did...

Head on over to Kelsie's blog to see the whole thing!

piCture pOlish - Wisteria

It's Monday again, which means it is time for another beautiful Picture Polish!

How about a purple? Purples are my weakness...

piCture pOlish - Wisteria
Soooooo perfect. An awesome shade of purple with a fantastic formula, covers in 2 coats. Didn't even have to do any cleanup, it just flows perfectly onto the nail!

I was going to add some art to this polish for the post but I just couldn't bear to cover it up. That'll have to come sometime in the future, because I know I will be wearing this baby again!

Gah. I just love it. Perhaps it could even be my new favorite purple? I think so!

piCture pOlish is available at picturepolish.com.au as well as with lots of other network members around the world. Check out the Network list for a full rundown of the places you can find PP!

Stay tuned next week for another gorgeous shade!

china glaze - pool party

Last month at Sally's, you got a free bottle of China Glaze if you bought a bottle of Seche Vite.
Of course I used that opportunity to stock up on SV and get some free CG!

It was hard though, because I have pretty much all the good colors that Sally's carries... Haha! Here's one of the colors I chose.

China Glaze - Pool Party
Holy neon! Super fluorescent hot pink neon polish with a good formula, 2 coats.
Some people say wearing neons in winter is a faux-pas but I don't mind.
That being said, I didn't love the color. A bit too neon for my liking, maybe.

I added some black and white glitter to the mani!

I added one coat of Lynnderella - Connect The Dots and one coat of Ninja Polish - Sticks 'n Stones.
I like mixing the two polishes because I think it gives a nicer mixture of glitter pieces than either on their own.

Did you get any free CG at Sally's last month? What did you pick?
