Sephora by OPI Betsey Johnson Collection - It's My Pink

Hey guys! I have a super cute polish to show you today which I love for several reasons:
-It's pink.
-It's scented.
-It's Betsey Johnson.

Sephora by OPI just released a Betsey Johnson collection featuring 7 full-sized polishes and a mini set of 6 that includes 3 shades exclusive to the mini set.
I wanted all of the polishes but that would have been a ton of money so I limited myself to this one and the mini set. (And a perfume gift set...)

There's no Sephora in my province so I had to order these online and I was impressed with the way Sephora safely packaged the polishes and perfume in a nice big box with lots of paper to keep it all safe.

Betsey says this is her favorite pink ever and it is definitely a good one!

Sephora by OPI - It's My Pink
This is a hot pink creme polish that covers well in 2 coats. Once dry, it smells just like Betsey's Too Too perfume! It was pretty strong at first but the smell faded a little after a few minutes. I really like the novelty of scented polishes, especially when they smell like pretty perfumes.

This polish retails at Sephora for $9.50 in the US or $12 in Canada.
(I totally hate the mark up in Sephora in Canada!)

Nicole by OPI - Nothing Kim-Pares To Blue

I now own 5 polishes from the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kollection. This is not something I am proud of.
I was really let down by 3 of the 4 I bought from the first release, and I wasn't planning on buying any of the new ones for this reason.
...But then I saw this beauty in the supermarket last night and I had to take it home with me.

Nicole by OPI - Nothing Kim-Pares To Blue is a beautiful blue shimmer polish from the new Kim-oriented line of Kardashian Kolors called Wel-Kim To My World.
(How many more god awful Kardashian puns will we have to endure?!)

This polish is so beautiful that I can totally get past the fact that part of the money I spent on it probably went to the Kardashians.

So pretty. I love it so much that when I put it on this morning, I knew I had to post about it today!
This is 3 coats for full coverage and it can be a little streaky if you aren't careful, but it is worth it and it does dry pretty quickly. And the shimmer is just beautiful.

I realized why I love this polish so much, actually.

It's the blue version of my beloved China Glaze - No Way Jose.
The shimmer is the same and the formula is quite similar. This type of finish is definitely one of my top faves!

I was wondering how close this would be to other blue shimmers I have in my collection, and I was surprised to see just how different these four colors ended up looking together.

As you can see, none of these are even close. It's crazy how dirty Herring Problem looks compared to the others. I think my favorites have to be Kim-Pares and Smooth Sailing but I really love all four of these colors and I am happy to have them all.

Verdict: Buy this polish!

A big honkin' Sephora order! I almost kissed the mail man because he even brought it a day early!
It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Betsey Johnson so of course I had to pick up some polishes from her new Sephora by OPI collection. I got It's My Pink which is a great hot pink and scented like Betsey's perfume, Too Too. I also got the mini set of 6 polishes which are adorable.

And then I noticed an awesome deal on her perfume, which jumped into my cart before I could say no! It's a gift set that comes with the Too Too fragrance in the adorable bottle ($62 on its own,) the rollerball vial of Too Too ($18 on its own) and a Betsey Johnson clutch! Which is a big pink and sparkly bow. Which means I love it. There's no value of the clutch given but you can be sure it's a pretty penny. And you get all of it together for just the cost of the perfume! $62!
That's an amazing deal considering I probably would have bought the perfume alone at some point this year while on vacation and near a Sephora.
(I can't comment on how it smells because I haven't regained my sense of smell from my sinus infection yet! Haha!)
Yay for good deals! And yay for Betsey! Keep an eye out for swatches soon because I'm super excited to try them.

China Glaze Prismatic Collection - Optical Illusion

Hey guys! Remember that cold I've been complaining of? Well it's developed into a raging sinus infection and I am not having fun. I haven't been this sick in a long time and it sucks! Thank you to those of you who have been sending me well wishes - I really appreciate it!

To cheer myself up I've decided to start watching The Big Bang Theory, and before that happens, I'm going to post a very pretty polish for you guys.

I picked up three colors from the China Glaze Prismatic Collection a while ago and have only gotten around to wearing one of them so far (except for when I layered Prism in this post.)

I took so many pictures of this. So many. It's too hard to only show you a couple so I am going to spam you with photos of this sparkly, color-changing beauty!

China Glaze - Optical Illusion
This is the mostly greenish polish from the Prismatic Collection and it sure does not disappoint.
A lot of people don't like these polishes for some reason, but I totally adore them. They are so interesting and original and eye catching!

The formula on these polishes is fantastic. They apply completely smoothly and evenly despite being jam packed with glitter. They take 3 coats for full coverage but you can totally get away with 2 if you aren't taking photos of them.

Most of the time this polish looks green. The shades of green change from a vibrant seafoam to a more silvery, lighter seafoam, depending on the light.
But then... This happens:

Move your fingers the right way, and it's totally blue and purple. Mesmerizing, almost!

Bluey purple.

This was totally smooth after one coat of topcoat but by the second day, it did need another coat to smooth things out again.

Here's a glitter close-up. As you can see, it's mostly filled with the awesome duochromatic glitter, and is sprinkled with larger multi-colored glitter and some smaller multi-colored glitter too. I love the combo.

Basically I can't get enough of these glitters.

It's too cool!

One complaint I do have is that my bottle of Optical Illusion had this weird blue stuff crusted all over the neck of the bottle when I opened it.

There was so much of it! And I have no idea where it came from really where these polishes aren't tinted.
It took a lot of scraping to get this all off the bottle!
Weird, huh?
Anyway, the Prismatics are amazing and you have to see them for yourself! I'm totally in love.

Now excuse me while my sinus infection and I waste the rest of the day watching television. Adios!

Nubar - Reclaim

Good morning! Yes, I failed to post again yesterday after promising green polish spam. I'm pretty sure I ended up with a second cold because I'm sick all over again!

I'll show you some holo today to hopefully win back your love!

Nubar - Reclaim
Reclaim is a grass green linear holo polish which is still readily available on Nubar's website or on eBay.
It's quite a nice color but I'm not totally impressed.

Formula is decent, and it's nice to have available holos, but I just didn't love it on me the way I loved it in other people's photos. I think I'll put this one in my "swap pile."

I've got a paper due this week so I might go on the missing list again. Forgive me!
