Glitter Gal Duochrome Collection - Hell-Bent Blue & Distored Platinum

Hey guys! Here today for your viewing pleasure are the last two shades from the wonderful DuoChrome Collection from Glitter Gal.

To refresh your memory, this is a 6-piece collection consisting of sheer duochrome polishes that are at their best when worn over black or other dark colors. You can wear them alone too if you like the subtle look.
These polishes are 15mL, in GGal's fancy new bottles, and they even come in their own boxes.
The polishes are "5-free" - meaning they contain none of the big five chemicals found in some cosmetics.

I totally adore these last two polishes so prepare for greatness!

Glitter Gal - Hell-Bent Blue
A wonderful shades-of-blue duochrome. Shown here is two coats over black.

Blue, turquoisey-blue, purpley-blue, all kinds of blue.

I love when you can see the purple around the edges. It's gorgeous!

Yum. Blue fans rejoice.

And last but certainly not least...

Glitter Gal - Distorted Platinum
My flash photos of this one are kinda weird looking, but believe me, this polish is one of the best in the collection. It is my second favorite of all!

I'm not sure what color you would call this one primarily, it shows a strong silvery-teal and purple. You can pretty much always see both colors on the nail.

Looooooook. OMG.

Holy hell, I love that last photo.
It's like pink and purple and turquoise and silvery and... just awesome. Right?

Good morning all and welcome to part two of my swatches of the awesome new DuoChrome Collection from our Australian friends at Glitter Gal!

To refresh your memory, this is a 6-piece collection consisting of sheer duochrome polishes that are at their best when worn over black or other dark colors. You can wear them alone too if you like the subtle look, but my nails are way too stained for that right now... Bleh!

I couldn't pick which two polishes to show you today so I chose the first two alphabetically. Haha!

Glitter Gal - Buckled Bronze
This one I believe is the least color-changing of the bunch but the color is stunning regardless. I love the deep shimmery red, totally vampy.

There is a bronzey-orange color shift but it isn't super intense.
Have I mentioned how shiny these polishes are without topcoat? They dry really quickly too.
Each of my swatches shows two coats of polish over black.

This is a yummy color. Definitely a winner for those into vampy shades!

Glitter Gal - Contorted Mauve
Ah, purple shimmer! Intense color shift! Gorgeous polish.

I seriously love this one and that is weird for me because I don't usually like this color combo.
The duochrome is so strong and I loved watching it change.

Ooooooh. Purdy.

Glitter Gal Duochrome Collection - Warped Teal & Twisted Jealousy

Hey everyone! First of all - thanks for all the well wishes in the last week or two. I appreciate it more than you know!
I'm starting to feel better and hoping to be able to recommit myself to posting every day because I miss sharing my polish adventures with you all on a daily basis.

To hopefully get my blog a-rollin' again, I'll be doing three posts showcasing the brand new Duochrome Collection from Glitter Gal!

Mmmm, look at those pretty bottles...
This collection consists of six sheer duochrome polishes, all best worn over black or other dark colors to show the true beauty!
As well, I just read that these polishes are "5 Free!" They contain no TFR, Camphor, Formaldehyde, DPB or Toluene. Pretty cool!

I decided to post these polishes in pairs because it would just be too much to post all at once! Each polish deserves a bunch of photos.

These polishes come in the new large 15mL bottles from GGal. I love the bottles because they are very sturdy and the brush is also quite lovely. No complaints.
Each bottle also comes in a nice little box! Makes it feel more special when it has its own box, right?

I'm gonna start out today with my favorite one!

Glitter Gal - Warped Teal
Are you surprised that the teal is my favorite? Didn't think so!

Yes, that's the same polish in both photos. This baby has many different faces.

This is two coats of Warped Teal over black. In some lights it is a shimmery green and then you turn your hand and it is like a blue/teal/green metallic! It's crazy.
It's hard to really say much about the polish because the pictures have to do the talking!

So stinkin' pretty, right?

Love love love. I totally recommend picking up this one because it is just so interesting and duochromatic and lovely. It's a winner!

And now for the second polish from the collection...

Glitter Gal - Twisted Jealousy
To follow my favorite polish, I am showing you my least favorite of the bunch.

Don't get me wrong - this polish is still great, but the colors just aren't something I would reach for.

Twisted Jealousy is an intense shimmery green that has a brown duochrome! It is a very interesting combo and I don't think I've ever seen anything like it!

Like I said - it's beautiful, but not my kinda colors. If you like greens and browns and earthy hues, this one would be perfect for you!

Two down, four to go! I hope you guys enjoy seeing these swatches because I had fun doing them.

China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy

Hey girls and boys!
First of all, I wanna explain my absence - as I've mentioned before I'm not feeling the best right now and I'm having a pretty serious flare up of my Crohn's disease.
I'm spending most of my time just trying to relax which doesn't leave me much time for the ol' blog. I promise I am not deserting you guys and I won't be another blogger who just randomly disappears - but I just need a bit of me-time for a while, I guess.

I'm still painting my nails (obviously) and I will make an effort to post when I am feeling up to it, but please be patient with me as I try to get my health back on track.

I found a bunch of old swatches I've been meaning to post and I might try and post some of these in the coming days! I'm gonna start with a super happy neon color to try to bring my blog back to life, haha!

China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy 
This is a super bright pink-coral neon that really gets attention. I don't think I have ever had so many random people ask me what color nail polish I was wearing as when I wore this one a few weeks ago.

The formula is nice and it covers in 3 coats, but it does chip pretty quickly.
(You may also notice that these photos have my old watermark. I was too lazy to redo it with the new one. Hahaha.)

I added an accent nail with Hello Kitty For Sephora - Gold Sparkle.

hey mom, quit copying me!

Good morning everyone! I've got a fun post coming your way today.

Some of you may know that I've somehow wound up with two moms in my life - my real mom and my internet mom. You would think that no sane person would willingly think of me as their child without having birthed me but hey, I guess I am that charming.

This lovely (and insane) woman that I am referring to is Laurie from Dressed Up Digits. She and I met ages ago when my blog was just starting and she was totally a fangirl and she stroked my big ego. Somehow we wound up becoming very good friends and here we are! She started her own blog and now she's got a big ego of her own because I am a fan of hers too!
(The best thing about an internet mom? She can give good advice but she can't make you clean your room.)

A few weeks ago I showed Laurie a cool mani I had done and she loved it, and decided to do it too! So now I'm posting it today, and so is she.

Tada! A fancy, vampy tape mani featuring OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark Suede.

Some of these photos show topcoat over the whole nail and some don't. I liked it both ways.

I freakin' love the OPI Suede polishes and I've just finished rounding up all 7 of them! Yay!
(That being said... I've only got 2 of the OPI Matte ones... Hmmmmm....)

Here's OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark Suede on its own. 2 coats of glorious, suede-y goodness.
I love that you can apply these polishes super fast and be out the door right away because they take about 10 seconds to dry. It's awesome. I always use them when I am in a pinch.

Some of my friends thought that this mani looked like dragon's eyes or something, but I don't see it. It's triangles. Triangles! I don't want dragon-eye-nails! Heh.
