Day 2 - Orange
Orange is not something I wear often. Or practically at all.
However I have managed to come up with quite a good manicure for today's challenge and I will wear it proudly!
I think this manicure is a real star. Hardy-har. I'm so punny.
Seriously though, I am in love with this mani!
My original plans for the orange theme involved my new orange crackle from Color Club but it reacted weird with the base color and peeled up off the nail and did some weird stuff...
So I hauled out one of the few orange polishes I can stand wearing as a full manicure and let my stamping skills fly free.
Here's what I used to create today's look:
The base color is Julep - Hayden, one of very very few Julep polishes I would actually recommend. It's like a neon peach and the formula is lovely and dries very fast.
I first stamped the lines image from Bundle Monster BM-319 using Konad - Psyche Pink.
I then added the stars image from Konad Q1 in different places on each nail.
Check out the artsy out-of-focus polishes behind my hand! Haha. I think that's my Sally Hansen drawer.
I waited ages before adding topcoat to this manicure because lately I find I am smearing everything! It seems the most recent bottle of Seche Vite I bought has a stiffer brush than usual and it is making it easier to smear.
Thankfully I didn't smear this one.
2 days down, 29 to go! I'm loving this challenge, especially the second time around.
(I might not say that when we get into the harder parts again!)
