Cheeky Week - Day 5: Black Strawberries? Um...

For my final day of this Cheeky week, here's an adorable stamp that I didn't quite use right... Haha!

This strawberry image is from the Cheeky Summer Set, CH-42. I used Essie's Come Here as my base color and the stamping was done in Konad Black.

I should have stamped red strawberries onto a lighter base... Not sure why I went for black! Hahaha. It's still cute but I am just not loving it.

This is the end of my Cheeky Week, but never fear, I will have lots more Cheeky looks in the future! There are so many more images I wanna use in this set, there will be lots more coming soon.
Plus, perhaps in a few weeks time, I will do a second week of Cheeky looks with my other set! Would you be interested in that? Hope you liked these posts!

Cheeky Week - Day 4: Anchors Away

The image I am going to show you in today's Cheeky Summer Collection stamping post is one of the main reasons I wanted the set!

Aren't these anchors the cutest? And totally on-trend. I could wear these all the time, it's such a fun image.

The image is from plate CH-36 and I stamped using a polish from Color Club's Foiled collection, a dark blue called Hot Metal (lol old swatches.) The base color is Essie's In The Cab-ana.
I love tone-on-tone stamping! And the metallic anchors on the creme base stand out.

Cheeky Week - Day 3: Love You Like A Fat Kid Loves Cake

Day three! Let's go!

That's right, the Cheeky Summer Collection includes an image of CAKE. I can't handle how cute it is.

I knew I had to use this image with a frosting-like polish, and Pink Marshmallow from Dance Legend fit the bill perfectly.
The image is from CH-41 and I stamped with Konad White stamping polish.

What do you guys think of this mani? It was a piece of cake. (HA)

Cheeky Week - Day 2: Retro Starbursts

Hello all! Here's my Cheeky Week post #2!

I'm not sure what these little retro symbols are actually called, but I settled on starbursts! Aren't they cute? I can picture this being a wallpaper from the '70's. Haha! I'd deff have a wall in my house with this pattern.

The base color is Under Where? by Essie, and I stamped using my most favorite Konad polish, Psyche Pink.
The plate used here is CH-46.

Soooooo cute.

Cheeky Week - Day 1: Dolla Dolla Bills, Y'all

Press Sample
Hey guys, and welcome to Cheeky Week!

The lovely people at Cheeky Beauty offered to send me two of their sets of plates for review and of course I accepted. How could I ever turn that down?! (However now I have more plates than my storage book can hold...)

I'm going to do a week of looks using only the Cheeky plates I was sent, and then of course there will be more in the future because there are so many images I want to use!

The first set I'll be showing images from is the Summer Collection. This set retails on their website or on Amazon for $24.99 and it has 26 plates. And actually, it is $5 off on Amazon right now!

The plates come in a cute little box (so they're easy to store if you don't have a method of storing your plates already) and there's also a cute card inside that is a "Nail Art License." Hehe!

And that card can also be used as a scraper which is good because I'm sure we all misplace that thing once or twice.

When I received these plates I was wearing First Timer by Essie and I decided to stamp right on top of it with a cute image of dollar signs from plate CH-55.

Please excuse the insane dryness of my cuticles in these two pictures - I started a new medication in the last few months that is making me extremely dry and apparently I forgot to moisturize my cuticles that day. Ha!

I love this design and I really wanna use it over black too with gold stamping! Add a gold glitter accent nail and it would be fierce... Yeah, definitely doing that.

I had absolutely no problems with any of the Cheeky images I have tried out so far and I think that they are a great brand of plates to add to your collection.
Not only do they sell the standard-sized plates in sets but they also offer jumbo plates! I don't own any of those sort of plates yet, however, I have my eye on a few...
Cheeky also carries other nail art tools and accessories like dotting tools and rhinestones, etc.

Lush Lacquer - Candy Kisses

It seems all of my posts start with apologies lately - but I am working two jobs right now plus doing so many nails on the side and between that and you know, sleeping and eating, I have no time for my own nails or blogging!!
However right now I am about to set up a week of posts so prepare for a full week of posts and hopefully lots more in a timely fashion after that. I have so much great stuff to start showing you guys!

A few weeks ago I received some nail mail from my personal US mailbox/great friend MakeUpMom123.
She is extremely good to me and along with sending me things I had ordered and sent to her place (hahahaha) she sends me some surprises! This polish was one of my recent surprises.

Lush Lacquer - Candy Kisses (over China Glaze - Light As Air)
I know I have said some not-so-great things about LL in the past but those complaints are all gone! (And it was really only about one polish anyway.)
This is a super cute glitter topper with so many different colors of glitter, it is definitely a party-on-the-nails type of polish.

I believe I only had to use one coat of glitter to get this coverage. Along with the bright colors there is also some silver microglitter that really helps bring it together. And the red bars were not the annoying kind that stick up off the nail and get hooked in things.

Thank you for this great surprise Jini!

There are so many beautiful neon glitter Lush Lacquer polishes I want right now but I am trying to save money for an upcoming trip! What's a girl to do?!

Sonoma Nail Art - Halloween In The Vines

Hi.
Here's a pretty polish that was made by a friend and given to me by a different friend! I love friends.

Sonoma Nail Art - Halloween In The Vines (over China Glaze That's Shore Bright)
This was a Halloween polish (obvi) from Michelle @ Sonoma. It's so cute! Purple silver blue pink!
This is two coats over the base color.

This is a manicure I could wear for days! No complaints. :)

Dance Legend Friuty Milk Collection - Blueberry Mousse, Pink Marshmallow, & Sugar Glaze

Today I have for you some polishes from the Dance Legend Fruity Milk collection.
This collection consists of six milky glitter polishes, and I have three of them to show off!

My experience so far with Dance Legend has been great. You may remember I posted the beautiful Android a few days ago.

The formula for all three of these is the same - semi-sheer but builds well, with a satisfying amount of glitter. I did three coats of each.
I will say, though, I did find dry-time was kinda long, even with Seche Vite, and I had to be very careful not to touch my nails off anything for at least a half an hour to avoid dents. I have a feeling that would be different if you use different base/topcoat combinations. Some polishes just don't play nice!

Dance Legend - Blueberry Mousse
This one is my favorite! Light purple milky base with silver and blue glitter in small and large sizes.

Dance Legend - Pink Marshmallow
Hey look, round nails! (Not sure how I feel about them.)
This is my second favorite - light pink with multicolored glitter! Lots of colors. So cute! Kinda like a very light pink version of Deborah Lippmann's Candy Shop (and with less glitter.)
Actually... It is like a pink Rebecca Likes Cupcakes...

Dance Legend - Sugar Glaze
These names are making me hungry. Patriotic milky glitter for my American friends! Sheer white with small/large blue and red glitter. I almost stopped at two coats with this one because the sheer look was nice and even, but I decided to go for the third.
