Color Club / Funky Fingers Neon Fractured Collection

Good morning!

Today I've got a crackle post! Love me some crackle.
My friend Lori is the Crackle Fairy and she sent me some of the new Funky Fingers Neon Crackles, which are the same as the new Color Club Neon Fractured polishes! (FF and CC are made by the same company and almost all FF are CC dupes.)
Lori and I share a huge love for Color Club, so of course I wanted these polishes.

I decided to use all four of the ones I got for a crackle skittle mani!

Pink = Funky Fingers - Neon Pink Crackle / Color Club - Burst Thing's First
Purple = Funky Fingers - Neon Purple Crackle / Color Club - Shock Rock
Blue = Funky Fingers - Neon Blue Crackle / Color Club - Take a Crack At It
Green = Funky Fingers - Neon Green Crackle / Color Club - Living On The Edge
(There is also an orange and a yellow but I didn't want those.)

These all worked so well and are so bright and fun! The only issue I had was that the green one left the white polish underneath with a light greeny-yellow tint.
I haven't tried it over other colors to see if it leaves the tint behind on everything, but I'd say it does. It probably would be difficult to notice over other colors, though!

Awkward 2-hand photo time. Posting it despite the awkwardness because I just love these nails!
I'm pumped to try these out over more colors. Endless combinations!

OPI - Shatter The Scales

You know, the new Spiderman movie kinda bums me out. I liked the old ones! Don't change my Spidey!
And sadly, I've gotta say, the OPI Spiderman Collection is a bummer for me too.
Only one polish interested me enough to buy it - the shatter! It's a pretty awesome polish in a collection filled with "meh."

OPI - Shatter The Scales
This is a dark green shimmering shatter polish that worked pretty flawlessly for me. Sometimes shatters can be a total pain (I'm looking at you, Turquoise Shatter) but this one is easy to use.
It dries matte, but really comes alive with topcoat!

I layered this polish over OPI - Skull and Glossbones to show off its green hue the best.
I wish the other colors from this collection had been more fun! Frosty pink... streaky blue... off-white... goldy-green over-done dupe... Bleh! At least the shatter is fun.

And now for a comparison!
I had some requests for a comparison of Shatter The Scales and Teal Scales from Funky Fingers!
In the bottle, you'd think they might be pretty similar. But over white, the real difference shows!

OPI Shatter The Scales / Funky Fingers Teal Scales
As you can see, the true color of these polishes is totally different!
That being said, when you layer them over certain colors, they can look more similar.

It's hard to see them over black, but what you can see is hard to tell apart.
So, depending on the color you layer them over, they can look pretty similar, but truly they are really different! And you can totally justify having both.

as seen on... Chloe's Nails

Good morning all! I hope you're having a lovely day today to go along with the lovely nails I'm about to show you!

Chloe's Nails is one of the most popular blogs of the last year or so, and while she doesn't post too often anymore, I always look forward to her posts.
A few months ago, she posted a crackle mani that I think definitely boosted sales of these two polishes! Hahaha. Check them out.

This is China Glaze Flying Dragon with a coat of Funky Fingers Teal Scales.
It's actually hard to believe how gorgeous this is! The combo of the deep teal and the purple is great, plus the glitter in Flying Dragon and the shimmer in Teal Scales... Ah! Chloe is a genius for putting these two together.

I've said it before and I will say it again - Color Club/Funky Fingers/Forsythe Cosmetics makes the best crackle polishes, hands down. They work effortlessly, and always look good.
You can get Teal Scales from Color Club too but I forget the name.

I had my friend Lori send me this FF after seeing Chloe's post, and I know a lot of other people who did, too! It's pretty easy to see why.

I can't get enough of this. I will be wearing it again. Just look at it!
Both of these babies dry matte so you definitely want to add some topcoat to really bring it all to life.

It's just perfect. Love love love.
Purple and teal, guys. Purple and teal.
