purple glitta sandwich

Haaaaaappy weekend!
This weekend is not so happy for me because I have yet another paper to write... I guess I'll survive!

Today I'm gonna show you a glitter sandwich mani I wore a couple of weeks ago. I'm working my way through the random stuff I have saved to post!

I can't quite remember what glitters went into this...
For sure, I used Deborah Lippmann - Happy Birthday, which is the multi-colored glitter you see. But I think I also used some purple glitter in there... Can't remember.

The base color is China Glaze - Light As Air, a nice light purple. On top, a layer of China Glaze - Oxygen, a sheer white to create the milky glitter sandwich look.

I don't get sick of looks like this. They're just so cute! I got a bunch of similar polishes recently and I can't wait to wear them. I'm sure you'll see lots coming up soon!

I really liked how the mani looked in this iPhone picture so I'm posting it too! Haha. Sometimes the good ol' iPhone captures it best.

Off to work on my paper... And reward myself with some new nails at some point!

  1. This is gorgeous! Saving for a future copy (:

  2. I'm also writing a paper today. I just took a break did some pretty nails as a reward as well. :) I've got a black shimmer franken on all nails except my ring fingers which have Milani Silver Dazzle and all topped with a gradient of Milani Red Sparkle. Perfectly happy and Christmassy. :) Good luck with the paper!

  3. I love the soft color with bright glitter peeking through! Nice job!

  4. So cute! It reminds me of your franken!

  5. you did a great job with the jelly sandwich effect! awesome!

  6. Hi Rebecca! This is Estivalia from PLOP ;)
I love this look! At first I wasn't a lot into the "milky glitter sandwich" (or glitter in milky jelly bases) thing, but it's grown on me. I love your take on it, reminds me of candy.

I look forward to your next posts! (and you'll probably get a lot of comments on old ones as I'll be catching up)
