China Glaze Summer Neons Collection - swatches and review!

Good afternoon lovlies! Today I have a big shiny neon post for you guys, with a ton of pictures. A ton!
All of these polishes are gorgeous and fun and bright, and I can't wait to share them with you.

I was lucky enough to win this entire collection from China Glaze on their Facebook!
I totally did a happy dance or two (or seven) when I found out.

I had planned on buying like eight of them anyway, so this really was the perfect collection for me to win. I'm so thankful!

Please keep reading to see swatches of all 12 of these babies.

China Glaze - Beach Cruise-r
This one is my favorite out of all twelve! It's a bright pink-toned purple with a great shimmer. The formula is amazing, 2 coats.  I am wearing this one right now!

China Glaze - Flirty Tankini
The coral colors in this collection are unlike anything else I own! Two coats of shimmery, coral goodness. This is the lighter of the 2 corals.

China Glaze - Hang-Ten Toes
Hang-Ten Toes is an amazing neon Barbie pink with a blueish shimmer! Love love love. Another favorite.

China Glaze - I'm With The Lifeguard
Okay, after this polish, we will never need another neon green! This is the best. The shimmer is super strong in this one and it is so bright and fun. Highlighter green! I needed three coats for this one to cover completely.

China Glaze - Love's A Beach
Another awesome hot pink! Darker than the last. Again, amazing formula, just 2 coats.
I've used this one for a mani before which you can see here! Love.

China Glaze - Orange You Hot?
A breakthrough has happened - this is an orange that I would wear. Yes. It has happened.
I don't know what it is about this shade but it doesn't make me look dead the way other orange neons do! I think I will wear this soon and embrace orange for the very first time.
So summery. 2 coats!

China Glaze - Pink Plumeria
You may remember seeing this one yesterday! As you can see I forgot to take a label picture before stamping over this color. Haha!
This is a coral-toned pink, with great shimmer, and it covers in 2 coats. Woo!

China Glaze - Ride The Waves
This is my least favorite from the collection. I'm just not a huge fan of jelly polishes. This is three coats and it is still very see-through. Perhaps if my smile lines looked nicer this would be nice... Heh.
The color is great but the finish isn't for me. Jelly lovers, this one is for you!

China Glaze - Splish Splash
Splish splash I was takin' a bath... Love this polish! Super bright shimmering blue with very intense shimmer. Covers in 2 coats.  Beautiful!

China Glaze - Sun-Kissed
I think I could rock this yellow. Like the orange, I don't find that this makes me look dead the way other neon yellows do. It has a slight green tint which I think is why I like it.
Three coats to cover completely.

China Glaze - Surfin' For Boys
I love the name of this one! This is the more intense of the corals. It is very saturated and bright! I don't own anything remotely similar (besides Flirty Tankini.) Such a summery color. I bet this would be awesome on toes!
2 coats for coverage, and you should definitely wear basecoat with this and Flirty Tankini because I did find they stain a little bit.

China Glaze - Under The Boardwalk
This is the second jelly of this collection but this one is more opaque - and I love it. Oooooh the color is so bright and eye catching and purple and... I just love it.  Yum yum.
I used 2 coats here but a third coat would probably cover that last bit of sheerness.

OMG, there you have it. Twelve of the brightest, sunniest neons around!
China Glaze knocked this collection out of the park. We were in need of neons with great formulas, and now we have them! No more 5-coaters or white bases. These are winning all around.
I do have one complaint - I find these will not dry when I use them over my OPI Nail Envy. They just don't get along! So I choose to wear them with no basecoat. And then they dry quick and easy like neons should.

With ten shimmering neons, there's a shade for everyone to love this summer.
The two jellies are nice additions to the collection and break it up just enough.

I'm totally inspired by these colors, so keep your eyes open for lots of art with these pretties!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!

  1. The problem that I've had with China Glaze neons in the past was that they would chip very very easily. Did you have this problem at all?

    1. I know what you mean - their older neons like Flip Flop Fantasy chip on me too.
I've been wearing these with Seche Vite and nope, no chipping problems! The formula is different from the older neons and applies nicer and I believe it will last longer for everyone. Hopefully. :)

  17. Pretty colors but a lot of VNL's. Looks like they are all sheer for the most part. I like opaque polish. =/

  18. I've used these over my OPI Matte Nail Envy and they work really well! Do you use the original Nail Envy?

  20. I bought Sun Kissed at Sally's and am going to return it. I ended up not liking the color, and it didn't look good on me. The formula was not very good. The other colors look nice though.

  21. That Ride the Waves is probably not the best to be worn on itself but in a jelly sandwich mani it might work :)

  22. beautiful swatches! what's the difference between regular polish and a jelly? i have been seeing that word a lot on different blogs.
