fantastic feline fingers with frolic and fancy fuchsia

Do you like the alliteration in this post title? Aren't I witty sometimes? (Don't answer that.)

The mani I'll be showing you today is so stinkin' cute and fun and is totally motivating me to get back to doing more nail art and regular posting and all that jazz.

Leopard print will always make me happy. Especially when the colors are bright and unnatural. Haha.

The base color here is Orly - Frolic, one of my all-time favorite polishes. It covers in just one coat and the formula is dreamy. I really should get a second bottle.

When I put this color on, I was planning on just wearing it alone because I was looking for a super-quick manicure. But then I saw my new bottle of Orly - Fancy Fuchsia sitting next to Frolic and I knew I had to do some leopard print.
The polishes are a match made in Orly-heaven. Bright and fun and great formulas.

I did the leopard print with a dotting tool and my black polish of choice is Essence - Black Is Back.

It feels nice to have my nails short like this for the first time in a long time. I took them down because of a bad break but I might keep them short for a little while! I'm diggin' it!

Aaaaaand my nails go really well with my iPhone case!
I love this picture. I love leopard print. I can't get enough. Can you?

  9. Thanks for the smile--your humor is awesome :)

Those nails are GORGEOUS (and hey, short nails rock too!). I just got some really awesome Sheswai polishes that might make for a great leopard mani--I've never done one but you are inspiring me :) I need to swatch them first to see if they will work (enough contrast).

I will wearing animal prints until I die. I'm 42 now. My 17yo just shakes her head at me lol.

  10. I love these! I need to do more animal print. I'm rockin' short nails at the moment too and I'm surprised how much I prefer them at this length, so much more easy to manage! x

  15. So.....I tried replicating this manicure. Twice. EPIC FAILURE. I don't know if my hands are too shaky (or my vision that bad oy) or I'm using the wrong colors, dotting tool.....AHHHH!

I want so much to be able to do nails like this but I fear stamping is the only way I'll get near this beautiful work!

    Sad face.
