31dc2012 - day 28

Hello and welcome to Day 28, otherwise known as "big ol' fail."

Well, maybe not a fail. But it just isn't super interesting. I'm so low on time!
Today's theme is Inspired By A Flag.
Part of the reason I am low on time today is because I am doing homework for one of my classes. Which happens to be a German history class. German homework... German nails?

Do you think this will get me extra credit in my German class?!

German class, German nails, and OPI Germany collection polish!
I used OPI - Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine! on all my nails except the flag. It's a beautiful dark gray-green creme that covers in 2 coats, flawlessly. Yum.
I only picked up two colors from the Germany collection, and I definitely recommend this one.

The flag colors are Color Club - Almost Famous (yellow,) OPI - Comet Loves Cupid (red,) and Color Club - Where's The Soiree? (black.)

Not my most exciting work, but hey, it's done! OMG only 3 more days!

And now I'm off to complete my busy day. So long!

  1. Very cool! I need to pick up some of the colors from the Germany collection. I tried doing an Irish flag last March and it was an epic fail!

  2. I don't think it's a fail :P And I think this is the first time I've liked Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!...still hate the name though.

    1. Oh, awesome, it's not just me! Love the color itself, but the name immediately creeeeeeped me out.

  3. Ohhhh thats purty! I love the grey!

    Jazz x

  4. My god. Nein! is such a nice color. I thought it was kinda bland in the bottle, but on...woah. I'm agonna need that one.

  5. I love Nein! very school appropriate nails :-P

  6. I just picked up NNNOF recently, this makes me glad I did. I'm wearing nails like this next time I am in Germany. Schönen Nägel :D

  7. Omg I neeeed NNNOF. I am a total sucker for grays and greens. I picked up Every Month Is Oktoberfest; that one is beautiful too!!!!!

  8. That ain't no fail! First, you did a manicure that *looks good* and could be worn any time. The color blocking is simple and bold. No one would look at this and say, "uh... Did you do flags on your nails?" (which would be my goal for "inspired by a flag", personally. Kinda like how I knit and my goal is to NEVER have anyone look at a finished piece and say, "... So, you, ah, made that, huh?").

And second, you did a cute reference by using an OPI Germany polish (though the name of NNOF creeps me out a bit, heh heh. But the color is gorgeous).
