31 Day Challenge: Day 6

Good morning everyone! Too early in the morning, in fact.
I had to get up at 7:30 to go to the doctor so now even though it is only 10am I feel like I need a nap!

I would probably take a nap... But I'm hoping the mailman is going to bring me something. So I'll stay up!

The theme for the challenge today is Violet Nails! Violet is technically a more blue-toned shade of purple, but I felt like going for a true purple instead of violet.

I thought it would be hard to choose which purple to use, but then I saw this bottle staring at me from my shelf of untrieds.

This is Zoya - Dannii and we have just fallen in love.

This is yet another of the polishes I got on my trip - This one came from Ulta in Buffalo.

When I went away I had a few things in mind that I wanted to look for, but the Zoya Intimate collection was not one of those things. I figured it was no longer in stores as it was from quite a few months ago now.
But there, in Ulta, was a practically full Intimate display. So of course Dannii came home with me, and Caitlin did too. They both have quickly become my favorite Zoya's.

This is 2 easy coats of shimmery purple goodness. I don't even really know how to describe it, it's sort of a cross between a shimmer and a foil.
So shimmery and pretty! And it is a true purple shade. Not a sad mauve purple like Zara.

The shimmer is a champagne color, and is very sparkly in the sun especially. I am staring at it in the sun coming in my window as I write this!
But it doesn't look like a regular shimmer... I don't know how to describe it. It seems a bit more complex than normal shimmer. Let the pictures do the talking.

Super, super love it. You know I love something when I have this many pictures of it.

So as I have done the last few days, here are my nails with something purple I own!

This is my little case thingy full of rhinestones and other things like pearls and dried flowers!

I've had this cute purple sparkly case for a very long time, and at some point in my childhood I put a matching purple sticker on it.
It used to house all my hair bobbles and stuff when I was young but now it has been re-purposed into a rhinestone case. And lord knows I need a case to hold all of them because when something is so cheap, you buy a lot of them.
(Or at least I do.)

Tomorrow's theme is not just a solid color, so keep your eyes peeled for that! :)

  2. Whoa! This one is pretty! I've always liked purple on other people's nails, but I'm not a big fan to have it on mine. But I would like to have this one, just because it's so pretty!

  10. I just love the pic where you are holding the handle! It makes it so much easier for me to imagine what it would look like on. I don't know more animated I guess makes it seem more real. Don't get me wrong, I love the close ups too but this is a really nice addition to your blog. Are you going to keep doing this after the challenge? Btw, LOVE this shade!
