si senorita

I loved the new China Glaze polish that I swatched yesterday so much that I had to keep wearing it. (Click here if you missed the swatch.)
So I did a little art on top!
I haven't posted art in about a week, sorry for all the swatches!

I'm so in love with this color!
Believe me, this is not one to pass up.

This design was loosely inspired by Ivana's similar combination.

The base, of course, is China Glaze - Senorita Bonita from the yet-to-be-released Island Escape collection.
I stamped with China Glaze - 2030 from Konad plate m57. This was my first time using this particular image and I really like it!
On my ring finger I used Milani Jewel FX in Gold. That was no easy task.
I did one thick coat, and then blobbed on more and using a toothpick I arranged it all so it fully covered.

As you can see here, I didn't quite get it to my tip. This is less noticable in person.
I can't wait to use this again and do it a little better!
I had to do 2 coats of Seche Vite over this nail to get all the edges of the glitter covered!

I am really digging this mani! How about you?

Regarding all the swatching I've been doing this week, do you guys like swatch posts?
I know I will always be more into art than swatches but swatches can be fun too!
I still have one Milani 3D to post, plus a comparison! Look out for that tomorrow.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

  1. I love this mani. The purple looks great with the gold stamped over it. It looks really sleek and simple, but the ring finger adds a nice "pop."

  2. This is a nice purple :) Don't know if I will be getting it or not though...I've started to notice that every time I buy polish about half of it is purple. I guess it's an addiction within an addiction.

  3. thanks guys!
johnna, as a purple lover/compulsive purple buyer, i can say in confidence that i have nothing else like this one!!

  4. sweet mani. it would probably look cool with cowgirl up (cg) as well.

  5. Now I'm going to have to go out and get this jewel fx! I thought I could get away without it, but now you just proved it to me. I personally don't mind swatch pics. I like a nice balance of swatches and art designs in a blog.

  6. I like the swatches because it gives me an idea of what the polishes actually look like and wether i should buy them :)

  7. so pretty like always Rebecca!! :o)

i def like both kind of posts!!!

  8. yes, i like swatch posts :)
woow, i loved this nail art *

  9. Ack...don't say that...somehow this polish will probably manage to come home with me when the stores by me get it in :P

  10. thanks everyone! seems like an even split between swatches and art. i'll keep that in mind!

  11. Nice. I like. I thing purple and gold is a fab combo.
Maybe you could use a gold polish under the glitter. Then the gap might not be as visible.
